How can I make a purchase with a bank transfer?
We support bank transfers from residents of all supported countries via Coinify. SEPA is the preferred method of bank transfer within Europe. Please find more information about how to purchase cryptocurrency via Coinify by bank transfer here.
Here are a few things to remember when sending a bank transfer to Coinify:
- Include your Trade ID / Reference text as a message to the receiver of the bank transfer so we can easily and quickly link your transfer to your trade.
- Include Coinify ApS in the recipient/receiver/beneficiary field of the bank transfer; otherwise, the trade will be cancelled and funds will be automatically returned to your account.
- Send only one bank transfer per trade; it's not possible to combine several transfers for one trade.
- We will refund your bank transfer if it's sent from a bank account that is not in your company's name. The fee for such a refund is 10 euros or equivalent. This also covers bank transfers sent from an individual/personal account, a spouse's account, an account of a company of which you are the legal owner, or a Money Transfer Service.
How long does it take for us to receive the funds?
Normally, it takes up to 3 business days until we receive the funds, but it also depends on your bank's internal processes.
When is the final exchange rate calculated?
The actual exchange rate that will be used to calculate the final amount of cryptocurrency you will receive for your funds is the one offered by Coinify at the moment of processing your trade.
Can I use an account jointly owned with someone else?
Yes, however, we will ask you for proof of co-ownership of the account.
Can I use my personal account?
No, you have a corporate trade account; thus, we accept transfers from corporate accounts only. Write to our support to enable a personal account.
Can I use a payment provider?
No, transfers issued through a payment provider (e.g., TransferWise) will be rejected as they are sent from a third-party account.
Who should pay transfer fees?
We pay our bank’s fees; you pay yours.
My bank refuses to process the transfer to Coinify. What should I do?
Please contact your bank. They're best equipped to help you with this issue.
