Whenever you pay for cryptocurrency by card, Coinify will first reserve the amount of the trade in your bank account. This means the funds haven't actually been removed from your account.
When you complete your trade, Coinify will then settle the reserved amount, meaning we will remove the funds from your account and send you the cryptocurrency amount you purchased.
Depending on the bank you use, you might not see the reservation of funds. Some banks only show a transaction when the funds have been removed from the account (i.e. settled).
If you suspect that funds have been removed from your bank account and no cryptocurrency has been delivered to your wallet, please check to make sure that:
- you have finished all the steps of the buy trade
- the status of the buy trade is 'Completed'
If you haven't finished all the steps of the buy trade, then the charge you see in your bank account is only a reservation of funds. If the trade has not been completed, we will cancel the trade, and funds will be returned to your account automatically. Pending trades will appear on the home page of your account and you can resume them from there.
If you have completed all the steps of the buy trade, the status of your trade is 'Completed', you see a charge in your bank account, and no cryptocurrency has been delivered to your wallet after 30 minutes, then please contact our support team.
